Christmas in Sun City was very eventful this year. For those of you who only believe in white Christmases, that is just not the case. I love to go down to the warm climate for a couple of days during the winter and Christmas is the perfect time. I’m able to get some rays and spend time with the family.

This year I climbed Piestewa Peak (formally known as Squaw Peak) with the Leskinen family. I’m not the first person to volunteer to go on a hike, but after three years of being asked, I thought this year was finally the right occasion. It was a mellow hike, but chasing after Kristi and her sister Amanda wasn’t easy.

My family and I decided to enjoy the arts in downtown Phoenix, so we attended the Christmas Carol Musical. I accidentally fell asleep during the beginning of the show, but I was quickly nudged by my sister to “Wake The F@*! Up.” We also, played a round of golf and I was definitely a little rusty. The day before Xmas we raced Go-Karts, which is my new compulsion. “Hey, sometimes you just gotta race.” And just to let everyone know if you go on Ladies Night and wear a bikini top you get to race for free all night. I guess sometimes you just have to use the system to your advantage. My sister and I also swam the full length of our 40? water, swimming pool on Christmas Eve before church.

The rest of the break was taken up by the computer game Pharaoh.” The object of the game is to build prosperous cities in Egypt. The game’s strategies are similar to SimCity and The Sims. If you get addicted to computer games easily, I wouldn’t start playing this game.

Now, back to UT.
