Hey Everyone,

After going to Northern Norway for a little while I started speaking Nordnorsk again. Karina who is actually from Oslo, Norway even picked up the dialect. Check out our dialogue below.

The Fish Story
Posted by Grete on categories: Lifestyle

Henningsvaer – fishing village in Lofoten.

Karina singing the Henningsvaer song. A lot of you might not know this about me, but when I was a little girl I went to a fish factory and I was scarred for life. Well, at least until this last year. I have been dabbling in sushi and some fresh cooked fish. I am not so sure going back to the fish factory was a good idea. WARNING! The photos below are disturbing.

Fish on the boat after being caught, fine.

Karina talking to the captain of the fishing boat. No idea what they were talking about, but she made a new friend.

Off with their heads!

Out with their guts!

Guts were overflowing.

Ane and Karina shooting lifestyle in Norway.

These fish heads will reappear in the end of this post : )

Going back in time as a five year old girl having a traumatic experience at the fish factory.

Trying to grow up.

Remember those fish heads?

Norwegians hang them out to dry and I have no idea who eats this.

I hope that was a great explanation into why I never ate fish.

Lofoten

Karina Hollekim and I getting ready for our first tour of the trip.

Stoked so far.

Ok, really happy.

Woah!

Waiting for that light.

Made it down.

On this tour we were able to ski from the top to the fjord or the ocean.

Another day at the office.

Karina taking a break. Halfway there.

Erlend the photographer taking a break.

The last bit.

Lofoten is a really nice place. The only way to get to the top of the mountains here is to hike. Just like in the old days.

Once you get to the top, there’s some nice stuff to ski.

Karina and I stoked to have made it to the top. If you do not know who Karina is, check out her movie here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uoANL1N-5l8

She’s B.A. and I will be the first to tell you. She totally beat me to the top of the mountain too.

Check this out.

Ane Enderud! The reason I do not have many photos of Ane is because she an incredibly fast hiker. Luckily, I was able to snap this picture of her on the way down.

Hey Everyone,

Just so you know I am on a trip with Ane Enderud and Karina Hollekim in Northern Norway. We are shooting for a movie with Choas Productions about all the skiing in Norway. I am having a blast with these girls! I have known about these girls forever and now I finally get to ski with them. It’s so cool. Pictures coming soon!
