What a privilege it is to tell everyone that I am skiing in the pages of Vogue Magazine! Yes, the Vogue Magazine. My dream as a little girl was to become the best female skier in the world, but never could I imagine everything that comes with being a professional female athlete. If you get a chance check out the February issue hard copy in stores now.
Until then, enjoy the sneak peak.
I am back in Colorado for pre-season skiing with the US Freeskiing Team. We are skiing at Breckenridge and Keystone every day and it’s been a blast so far. It’s fun to see everyone and make hot laps again. We will be here until our first contest the Winter Dew Tour at Breckenridge then head over to Copper Mountain for the US Grand Prix. It’s an exciting time because these contests will count towards our Olympic qualification process. Also, everyone from all over the world is skiing here and getting ready as well. So you never know who you are going to take a lap with.
I hope everyone has a fantastic Thanksgiving Week!
Today, God decided to give us in Utah a little tease of winter. I hiked up Alta, Resort. Alta, is a skier’s only mountain so I have not been there for a couple years because I can’t go with my husband who is a snowboarder. But today, before the resort opened I borrowed my sister’s touring equipment and went for a ski. It was awesome! It was even really cold. I need to learn how to bring an extra pair of gloves so my sweaty hands don’t get so cold on the way down. Enjoy the photos and I hope there is more to come.
The season started early this year on September 27th with a couple inches of snow at Brighton Resort, UT. Dania Assaly and I went for a hike up Brighton and found enough snow to session a box. This is a first for me, being September 27th, but how cool?
Go over to DITLO.com and check out the feature photo story they did about me.
Taking the cat up to Highlands Bowl. Although, the cat was somewhat of a tease because you still have to hike for 30+ minutes to get to the top of the 12,300+ bowl.
Thanks to these ladies for showing us the way to the top of Highlands Bowl. Unkown, Arielle Gold, Tricia Byrnes, myself, Megan and Tess Weaver.
The top part of Highlands Bowl.
Following this lady, Tricia Byrnes to the goods.
And it was worth the hike.
Tree skiing is my favorite.
Aspen Highlands is pretty epic. Thank you Tax Day!
